Lauren Conrad announces engagement as ex-beau weds

TORONTO – Former TV star Lauren Conrad announced her engagement to William Tell on Sunday – only a day after her ex-boyfriend Jason Wahler tied the knot.

“I am very excited to share with you guys that William and I got engaged over the weekend,” Conrad wrote on her blog, where she posted a photo of her diamond ring. “I am beyond thrilled!”

Conrad, 27, has been dating Tell – a musician and law student – for a little more than a year. She had previously been in a three-year relationship with actor Kyle Howard.

Conrad appeared on Laguna Beach before starring in her own spin-off series, The Hills. She has since launched two fashion labels and published several books.

“William and I are overwhelmed by all of your warm wishes,” Conrad wrote on her blog. “Thank you so much for sharing in this special moment.”
