TORONTO – A Connecticut weatherman took the three-second rule to a whole new level after he picked up cat vomit from the studio floor and shovelled it into his mouth on live television.
During Wednesday morning’s broadcast, Scot Haney of Hartford CBS affiliate WFSB picked up what he apparently thought to be Grape Nuts cereal from the dirty floor next to his chair.
To his co-anchors’ disgust, Haney proudly scarfed down the chewy, studio-floor treat.
“They’re a little soggy…they taste like shoes,” he told viewers, while his counterparts said “it smells like feet.”
“I don’t think those were Grape Nuts,” the weatherman said. “I think that may have been dog dooty.”

During Haney’s “Now Trending” segment, the television personality finally realized what he actually ate.
“Ladies and gentlemen, those were not Grape Nuts that I ate. I kept finding more and more of it on the floor, and I thought it was Grape Nuts because it looked just like it,” Haney said.
Haney realized his cat threw up at home and he stepped in it, dragging the vomit to work with him
“I ate cat vomit, right here on television. It’s disgusting,” Haney told viewers. “I’m going to throw up!”
