Four people were sent to hospital following a multi-vehicle crash on the eastbound Lincoln Alexander Parkway on Thursday night, according to Hamilton Police.
The collision on the Linc involved five sedans and a transport truck, and happened just after 6 p.m. between Highway 403 and Mohawk Road.
“A 50-year-old Hamilton man suffered serious injury but is in stable condition” Cst. Indy Bharaj said in a release.
“Other involved parties were transported to hospital, but later released, reporting minor injuries.”
Initially, Hamilton Paramedics Supt. Dave Thompson told Global News seven people were transported to hospital in total – three to a trauma centre, three to hospital and a child to a pediatric facility.
The eastbound lanes of the Linc were closed for close to 11 hours and reopened just after 5 a.m. on Friday.
