TORONTO — Ontarians are being warned not to consume or serve bottled water that may be contaminated with bacteria.
Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Arlene King, is warning the public not to drink water manufactured by Blue Glass Water Co. Ltd., also known as Caledon Clear Water Corporation, based in Caledon Ontario.
Samples of the water have been found to be heavily contaminated with bacteria, the department says.

Blue Glass Water was ordered to cease bottling, processing and distributing water on July 25th, 2013.
However, the water has been found in food establishments as recently as Wednesday in Hamilton, Niagara and Toronto by public health inspectors.
The department says customers and businesses should check labels carefully, as the company is known to offer customized labels to food establishments and hotels.
“The bottled water may be sold under many different labels so it is important to look for the manufacturer on the label before consuming or purchasing,” said Dr. King in a media release late Wednesday night.
Bottles may be blue, green or clear glass with a screw top. They have been observed in 750 ml and 375 ml formats.
Labels would read “Bottled at source by Blue Glass Water Co. Ltd.” or “Bottled at source by Caledon Clear Water Corp.”
