PAPHR says anyone currently coming to the hospital with a non-urgent injury or illness can expect to wait at least two hours before being treated.

Officials are urging people to use walk-in clinics if at all possible.

Last week, the Saskatoon Health Region dealt with overcapacity at Saskatoon hospitals, due in part to an aging population and the lack of appropriate long-term care homes.
