TORONTO – After lashing the Philippines, Taiwan and Hong Kong, the remnants of Typhoon Usagi are over China.
Usagi killed at least 47 people and left thousands homeless across Asia as it reached Super Typhoon status on Friday.

As the high winds and surf pushed across the region, people battled flooded streets and high winds, and high tides.

Another typhoon is also raging in the South Pacific.
Typhoon Pabuk, southeast of Japan, is moving northwestward but is expected to weaken and turn to the northeast before hitting Japan.
