Found remains identified as drowning victim

CALGARY- RCMP have confirmed that human remains found near Cluny belong to a drowning victim.

24-year-old Megan Oldwoman from Siksika was swept downstream, after swimming in the Bow River on August 4. Despite an air and land search she was not found, and presumed drowned.

On Sunday, a passerby came across remains and RCMP were called in to investigate.

On Friday, the medical examiner confirmed the remains belonged to Oldwoman, and her family has been notified.
