Manitoba RCMP have located an 18-year-old man from Flin Flon, Man., who was considered armed and dangerous.
An RCMP release said Xander Tardiff was wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred in Creighton, Sask., as well as a homicide that occurred in Flin Flon in the early morning of Jan. 1, 2022.
A second release sent Saturday afternoon said a number of Manitoba RCMP officers were in the area of Aspen Gove in Flin Flon as part of the ongoing search.
The public was asked to stay away from the area and follow all police direction. Heavy police presence was expected as officers worked to safely resolve the situation.
“Do not post or share photos of officers on social media,” the updated release stated.
According to a release sent at 12:13 a.m. on Sunday, Tardiff had been safely taken into custody.
