The Bow tower in downtown Calgary has been named the fourth best skyscraper in the world, by a company out of Germany.
The Bow is the tallest building in Calgary – and the tallest in Canada west of Toronto.
Completed in 2012, the skyscraper serves as the headquarters for both EnCana and Cenovus, and has 58 floors.

The building was bestowed the architectural honour by Emporis, who gave their 2012 Skyscraper Award to the Absolute World Towers in Mississauga.
Emporis has a database of construction projects around the world, and began presenting their annual Skyscraper Award in 2000.
The company says it recognizes excellence in both aesthetic and functional design.
The project in second place is Al Bahr Towers in Abu Dhabi.
Burj Qatar, a 238 meter tall skyscraper in Doha, was awarded third place.
Calgary’s own Bow Tower placed fourth, and the apartment complex The House on Mosfilmovskaya in Russia placed fifth.
