Haliburton man killed in Hwy. 35 collision north of Lindsay: City of Kawartha Lakes OPP

City of Kawartha Lakes OPP say one person is dead following a three-vehicle collision on Hwy. 35 just north of Lindsay on Tuesday morning – Dec 14, 2021

A Haliburton, Ont., man was killed following a three-vehicle collision on Highway 35 just north of Lindsay, Ont., on Tuesday morning.

According to City of Kawartha Lakes OPP, the collision involved a dump truck, a pickup truck and a SUV around 10:30 a.m. on the highway near the intersection of Thunderbridge Road North just a few kilometres north of Lindsay.

Police say one person in the pickup truck was pronounced deceased at the scene.

On Tuesday afternoon, the victim was identified as Robert Clark, 64, of Haliburton.

OPP say two other people were transported to Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay with non-life threatening injuries.

 

OPP are looking for witnesses to the collision. Anyone with information can call 1-888-310-1122. Police note a black cube van was observed at the scene and police are asking the driver of that vehicle to contact them.

The highway will remain closed for several hours as police investigate.

Detours are set up at Thunder Bridge Road and Peniel Road/Ken Reid Road.
