A statement from Fox Television Studios, which produced the series, recognized the “tireless, dedicated crew” of locals.

The Killing, set in Seattle, was filmed around the Vancouver area. It stars Joel Kinnaman and Mireille Enos as detectives.

The series employed a number of Canadian actors, including Elias Koteas, Hugh Dillon and Kristin Lehman.

The Killing was cancelled after two seasons but was revived for a third season with a largely new cast. Its final season ended in August with 1.5 million viewers.
