Ottawa police say a motorcyclist died after a crash in the city’s south end on Monday morning.
The force says the collision occurred around 6:40 a.m. at the intersection of Bank Street and St. Paul Avenue, in the area of the South Keys Shopping Centre.

The motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the crash.
The driver, a 49-year-old man, was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead, according to a police spokesperson.
The investigation is ongoing. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
