A person was sent to hospital for assessment following a chemical spill inside a McAdoos Lane business, Kingston police say. – Aug 12, 2021

Emergency crews in Kingston were securing the scene of a chemical spill Thursday morning.

According to Kingston Fire and Rescue, the spill occurred around 6 a.m. inside a business on McAdoos Lane.

The building was evacuated, and although Kingston police say one person was sent to hospital for assessment, Kingston Fire says there were no injuries from the hazmat situation.

A third party contractor was called in to clean up the spill.

The Ministry of Labour and Kingston Fire and Rescue are investigating the incident.
