Liberal incumbent Ron McKinnon has been re-elected in the riding of Coquitlam–Port Coquitlam, Global News projects.
With 212 of 220 polls reporting, McKinnon had 38.4 per cent of votes, while Conservative Katerina Anastasiadis had 30.6 per cent. New Democrat Laura Dupont was third with 26.7 per cent.
McKinnon has faced close races in the past.
As a political newcomer in 2015, he surprisingly won Coquitlam–Port Coquitlam by fewer than 2,000 votes over Conservative and former MLA Douglas Horne.
In 2019, he was in one of the closest races in the country, eventually defeating Conservative Nicholas Insley by just 390 votes.
