Toronto police say a man has been charged with attempted murder after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed at Ashbridge’s Bay Park on Saturday.
Emergency crews responded to the area at 9:16 p.m.
Police tweeted that one person was stabbed and added that there was a “very large crowd” on the beach.
Police said in a news release Sunday that officers observed people firing Roman candle fireworks at other people and a fight broke out as a result.
Officers said that during the fight, a man pulled out an “edged weapon” and stabbed a 16-year-old boy several times.
