KELOWNA — Some big changes are taking place on the downtown Kelowna waterfront as the city’s new $5 million marina takes shape.
The first major component was maneuvered into place Tuesday afternoon. It’s the 334 foot main ‘spine’ of the dock.

Over the next few days, three walkout pieces will be added as well at the terminus or breakwater at the end of the marina.
The 68 slip marina will be a place to rent boats and personal watercraft.
Boaters can rent the slips and gas up.
It will also serve as another access point for people to get to the downtown core.
The Kelowna marina is expected to be open for business early next month. it will be managed by Westcorp Properties for 15 years.
