Conservative incumbent Dave Epp is projected to be re-elected in the riding of Chatham-Kent-Leamington.
Incumbent Conservative Dave Epp is projected to be re-elected for a second term, continuing the party’s hold on the riding. Epp was first elected in 2019 after Dave Van Kesteren, who held the riding for the Conservatives from 2006-2019, retired.
The riding of Chatham-Kent—Leamington comprises all of Leamington, the township of Pelee, Moravian Indian Reserve No. 47 and a portion of the town of Lakeshore that sits east of Rochester Townline Road.
Lake Erie borders its southeastern end, with Chatham-Kent’s inclusion in the riding starting southeast of the Thames River.

Chatham-Kent—Leamington was born out of the 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution, which saw the merging of Chatham-Kent—Essex, Essex and Lambton—Kent—Middlesex.
Immigrants make up close to 13 per cent of this riding’s population, with large groups born in Mexico, Portugal and the U.K. Spanish, Portuguese and German are some of the most popular non-official languages in the area, according to the 2016 census.
Chatham-Kent—Leamington voters elected Tory farmer Dave Epp as their federal representative in 2019. Epp took over the Conservative ticket from departing incumbent David Van Kesteren. Kesteren, elected in 2015, did not seek re-election.
Epp beat out Liberal candidate Katie Omstead in 2019 by 8,460 votes.
