Whitecourt RCMP say a teen with Down syndrome who was reported missing Thursday has been located safe.
In a news release Thursday night, the RCMP said they were told the 18-year-old walked away from his family home at 5:48 p.m.

He was last seen in the area of Range Road 113 near Whitecourt.

RCMP asked the public for help finding the teen.
In an update just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday, the RCMP said the teen had been located and returned to his family.
