Stéphane Lauzon is the projected winner of Argenteuil—La Petite-Nation.
Argenteuil—La Petite-Nation covers a portion of the province formerly known as Argenteuil—Papineau—Mirabel. It now encompasses Notre-Dame-de la Salette, L’Ange Gardien, and the Masson-Angers and Buckingham sectors of the city of Gatineau.
The older version of this riding, now known as Argenteuil—Papineau—Mirabel, was a Bloc Québécois stronghold, where the Bloc held office for six consecutive terms before losing the seat to the NDP in 2011.
Liberal incumbent Stéphane Lauzon won the riding in the 2019 federal election. It was a tight race, with Lauzon beating BQ candidate Yves Destroismaisons by 672 votes.
Lauzon grabbed 37.8 per cent of the vote while Destroismaisons ended the night with 36.3 per cent. In third, Conservative Marie Louis-Seize received 12.1 per cent.
