Police said they were called to the area of Somerset Street West and Cambridge Street at 10:04 a.m. over reports of a shooting.

Police said in a tweet that there are no injuries reported and that two men were seen running away.

Any witnesses are asked to call 613-236-1222 ext. 5050.

Police had initially closed off traffic in the area but reopened roads shortly before noon.

The OPS said in a statement to Global News on Thursday afternoon that police remain on scene and the investigation is ongoing.

The area, a block west of Bronson Avenue, was also the scene of a fatal stabbing two weeks earlier.

A 64-year-old man was killed and a 20-year-old man is facing charges in that incident.
