Shots fired in North York, no injuries reported

TORONTO – A police investigation is under way after North York residents reported hearing the sound of gunshots.

Residents called police around 11:30 p.m. when they heard several shots being fired outside their homes at San Pietro Way and Islington Avenue.

When police arrived they found shell casings on the ground and damage to two vehicles. No victims were found.

Police responded to a similar call in the same area last week. The call came in around midnight last Thursday.
