The Langley School District said Walnut Grove Secondary received a “possible threat” just before noon, which led to the school being evacuated “out of an abundance of caution.”

All students and staff were safe, the district said.

Langley RCMP said a police dog unit searched the building and grounds and deemed the area safe.

School officials were allowed back inside around 1:40 p.m., and students were being dismissed in a controlled manner, according to police.

The call that sparked the response remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Langley RCMP.
