Memorial page created for 2 N.B. boys killed by python

Connor and Noah Barthe are being identified as the two children killed by a python that escaped a pet store in Campbellton, N.B. Facebook

HALIFAX – A Facebook page dedicated to two young New Brunswick boys killed by a python has garnered thousands of “likes”.

The Connor and Noah Barthe dedication page was created Tuesday, a day after an African rock python strangled Noah, 4, and Connor, 6, inside Reptile Ocean in the small town of Campbellton.

Autopsies were conducted on the boys Tuesday but results have not yet been released.

The snake’s owner Jean-Claude Savoie told Global News Monday that the python had escaped its enclosure through the ventilation and fell from the ceiling into the living room where the boys were sleeping.

The Facebook page has several pictures of the smiling boys, who are the children of a friend of Savoie and were over for a sleepover. He tells Global News that he considered Noah and Connor like his own children.
