UPDATE: Tornado Watch ends for Calgary, surrounding areas

CALGARY – A Tornado Watch issued for the City of Calgary and surrounding areas is now over.

The warning was issued just before 3:30 p.m. on Monday – and included Airdrie, Cochrane, Olds, Sundre, Brooks, Strathmore, Vulcan, Drumheller and Three Hills.

Officials warned conditions were favourable for the formation of funnel cloud, and warned anyone who spotted one to take shelter until it dissipated.

The watch was in place for about two hours, before being cancelled.
