TORONTO — Canadian actor Kevin Zegers tied the knot Saturday with his longtime girlfriend, agent Jaime Feld, in New Jersey.
“Now off to the wedding festivities,” he tweeted on Thursday. “#lifechangingweek.” On Friday, Zegers shared a photo of himself with three male friends on a golf course “before wedding weekend starts.”
According to several media reports, as many as 250 guests — including some of Feld’s celebrity clients — helped the couple celebrate their special day.
Global News was first to report that Zegers, 28, and Feld were set to wed after six years together. The couple was engaged last summer while vacationing in the Muskoka region of Ontario.
Born in Woodstock, Ont. – about 150 kilometres west of Toronto – Zegers made his film debut in 1993’s Life with Mikey opposite Michael J. Fox.
He became well known for his role in Air Bud and several sequels before earning acclaim for portraying the troubled bisexual son of a transsexual in 2005’s Transamerica starring Felicity Huffman. He also appeared for several seasons on Gossip Girl.
Zegers and Feld will enjoy a one-week honeymoon before he rejoins the publicity tour for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, in which he plays Alec Lightwood. It opens Aug. 21.
He will be back in Toronto in September to start work on the sequel, City of Ashes.
