TORONTO – Kevin Zegers’ bachelor days are almost over, Global News has learned.

The Canadian actor is set to tie the knot with longtime girlfriend, talent agent Jaime Feld, in New York on Aug. 3.

The date of the nuptials is revealed on the couple’s gift registry at Williams-Sonoma, which includes items ranging from a $20 brownie pan to a $600 blender.

Appearing Wednesday night at the Toronto premiere of his new movie The Colony, Zegers confirmed he and Feld will wed on Aug. 3.

“We’re both really excited,” he told Maurie Sherman of the Roz & Mocha Show on KiSS 92.5.

Zegers told Global News the couple got engaged last summer in the Muskoka region of Ontario and deliberately kept the news quiet.

Born in Woodstock, Ont. – about 150 kilometres west of Toronto – Zegers made his film debut in 1993’s Life with Mikey opposite Michael J. Fox.

He became well known for his role in Air Bud and several sequels before earning acclaim for portraying the troubled bisexual son of a transsexual in 2005’s Transamerica starring Felicity Huffman.

In the made-in-Ontario thriller The Colony, opening April 26, Zegers is part of a group of people forced underground by the next ice age who must fight off an evil threat. The movie co-stars Laurence Fishburne.

Both actors are scheduled to appear Thursday on Global’s The Morning Show.

Zegers, who lives in Los Angeles with his fiancée, was in Toronto late last year to shoot The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones – a potential blockbuster that will propel him to superstardom. It opens Aug. 23.
