A driver has died after a collision in Hagersville, according to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)
Investigators say a three-vehicle crash happened at Haldimand Road 55 and Concession 12 in Walpole early Friday morning just before 6: a.m.
A witness told police one of the drivers was trapped in their vehicle and was “unresponsive.”
After being extricated from one of the vehicles, the driver was rushed to hospital by Haldimand County paramedics with life-threatening injuries. That person subsequently died in hospital.
Two other drivers suffered minor injuries. Police have not yet revealed the cause of the collision.
OPP say Haldimand Road 55 was closed between Concession 11 and Concession 13 for about eight hours for an investigation and cleanup.
The deceased driver is 61-year-old Roy Strohm from Jarvis in Haldimand County.
