LAKE COUNTRY, B.C. — One person is dead and another is in hospital as a result of a single vehicle crash in Oyama.
Police got the call at around 5 p.m. Monday and found a pick-up truck down an embankment in the 5700 block of Oyama Lake Road.
A 17 year-old male from Lake Country was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger, a 17 year-old female from Germany, was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Both victims were ejected from the vehicle.
Police say speed appears to be a factor.
It’s the second fatal crash on Oyama Lake Road in recent days.
Last Friday, a man and a woman died after their ATV left the road and crashed down an embankment.
Their names have yet to be released.
