Signed as a street free agent, Charleston Hughes joined the Calgary Stampeders in 2008 and won two Grey Cup championships over his 10 years with the club (in 2008 & 2014).

Jay McNeil played from 1994 until he retired at the end of the 2007 season. McNeil played in four Grey Cups for the Stamps, winning two. .

As the longest tenured player for the Stampeders, Brandon Smith played for 12 years (2008 – 2019), competing in six Grey Cups, winning three. Upon retirement at the end of last season, Smith won the coveted Presidents’ Ring.

Wayne Harris played for the Stampeders from 1961 – 1972, winning the Outstanding Lineman Award a record four times. He played in three Grey Cups (1968, 1970 & 1971) winning one. The Calgary Stampeders retired his jersey #55 in 1973. Wayne passed away in 2015.

Playing for the Calgary Stampeders from 1990 – 2000, Allen Pitts holds many Stamps records including most career touchdowns with 117 and all-time receiving yards with 14,891. He played in five Grey Cups and was instrumental in winning two (1992 & 1998).
Jon Cornish played nine seasons with the Stamps, retiring after the 2015 season. In his first full year as a starter with the club (2012), Cornish lead the CFL in rushing with 1457 yards on the ground, bettering this in 2013, rushing an incredible 1813 yards.

Serving 13 years as Head Coach of the Calgary Stampeders (1990 – 2002), Wally Buono lead the team through 6 Grey Cups, winning three (1992, 1998 and 2002). In 2009, Buono became the CFL’s all-time winningest coach.

Widely considered to be one of the greatest CFL players of all time, Doug Flutie was traded to the Stampeders in 1992 where he lead the team to a Grey Cup victory. In 1994, Flutie threw a record 48 touchdown passes and continued with the team until he signed with the Argos in 1996.
Mark McLoughlin played for the Stamps from 1988 – 2003, winning three Grey Cups in 1992, 1998 and 2003. Seven times, McLouoghlin scored over 200 points in a season with a career high of 220 in both the 1995 and 1996 seasons.
