Traffic delayed by semi rollover on Highway 1 east of Regina

Traffic was delayed on Highway 1 Monday morning as emergency crews dealt with a semi rollover east of Regina.

The semi was on its side, blocking the north side westbound lane, east of the Pilot Butte overpass at Exit 229.

RCMP say the collision happened around 4:30 a.m. when the 73-year-old driver from B.C. fell asleep at the wheel.

Police add the driver sustained minor injuries and was issued a ticket for driving without due care and attention.
