HALIFAX – Halifax police are making another public appeal for information that could lead to an arrest in the three-year-old investigation into the murder of Ryan Matthew White.
White was 21-years-old when he was shot in the chest the night of July 22, 2010.
Officers found him on Jarvis Lane in the Mulgrave Park neighbourhood, in Halifax’s north end.

Last year, Nova Scotia’s Dept. of Justice added White’s murder to the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program, offering up to $150,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in an unsolved case.
There are currently more than 70 cases on the province’s list, all homicides or missing persons.
White was known to police at the time of his death, but he had been trying to turn his life around.
He was a graduate of the Second Chance program – a one-year entrepreneurship program aimed at helping troubled youth – and had been building a painting business when he was shot and killed.
Investigators say they are confident there are people who have information about the incident, and are encouraging them to come forward by calling toll-free at 1-888-710-9090.
