Italian police say the 47-year-old walked into the bar Madonnina near Padua with a pick axe.
He attacked the machines in a rage, and smashed them to pieces while stunned patrons could only look on in horror.
Once he had finished his act of gambling-induced vandalism, he calmly walked back out of the bar.
According to the bar’s owner the angry gambler lost $6500 playing the machines.
