MONCTON, N.B. – A 70-year-old temperature record has been broken in Moncton, New Brunswick.
Environment Canada says the temperature soared to 32.4 degrees Celsius yesterday, enough to break the previous high of 32.2 degrees set in 1942.

The national forecaster says a new record high could also be set today.
Temperatures are expected to rise to 35 degrees.
The record high for July 15th, set in 1952, is 33.3 degrees.
