NARAMATA — If you’re heading to Manitou Beach in Naramata this weekend, Interior Health is asking you don’t wade in the water.

That’s because water samples show high bacteria levels, exceeding Health Canada guidelines.

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen issued an official recommendation Friday, asking users to refrain from swimming.

The RDOS says it will continue to collect water samples and forward them to the Interior Health Region for analysis, and officials will inform the public when the levels are back to normal.
