A farmer was harvesting hay in his field at 8920 Hudson Bay Road in Fort Langley on Saturday afternoon when a spark started a large grass fire.
Three to four acres of grass were on fire, and it took seven tankers from seven different fire stations to put it out.
Assistant Fire Chief Pat Walker said it took an hour and a half to put out as there are no hydrants in that area.
