Saskatoon police are currently investigating a weapons call at 1st Street and Broadway Avenue.
According to a statement, officers were called to the area shortly before 5:30 p.m. and the weapon is not a firearm.

More than a dozen police vehicles and two fire trucks were in the area.

Some police were wearing riot gear.
A watch commander wouldn’t provide any further information, only saying that the situation is ongoing.
