The Vancouver Canucks have traded Cory Schneider to the New Jersey Devils for the 9th pick overall in the first round of the NHL draft.

With that pick they chose left wing Bo Horvat.

Who is Bo Horvat?

He was born April 5 1995 in Rodney, Ontario.

He is 6ft tall, weighs 198 lbs, and he shoots left.

He played for the London Knights in the 2011 – 2012, and the 2012 – 2013 regular season, and was selected 9th overall by the London Knights in the OHL’s 2011 draft.

With the Knights, he won the OHL Championship in the 2011 – 2012 season, and was selected as the MVP for the OHL playoffs.

According to Hockey’s Future, “Horvat’s bullish style of play garnered a lot of attention this year both in London and during the Knights’ run through the OHL playoffs. On a young team, Horvat stepped up and assumed a huge leadership responsibility, while showing his offensive bonafides.”

He is known for being a player who works really hard and often impresses other fans and players with his defensive play.
