Police have made an arrest after a fatal stabbing in the kitchen of the New Generation Sushi restaurant in Toronto.
The victim, a 27-year-old restaurant employee, was reportedly stabbed after an argument with another employee on Saturday night. The fight started in the restaurant and ended in the kitchen.
Investigators say what appeared to be a minor argument escalated very quickly.
"I can only categorize this as an unfortunate incident," said Detective Sergeant Terry Browne of Toronto Police Service.
Police say the victim was a student at the Ontario College of Arts and Design and was here on a student visa. They have not released his identity as they are still contacting his family in China.
Police arrested 25-year-old Xu Wang at the restaurant soon after the dispute. He has been charged with second-degree murder.
Police say Wang is also in Canada on a student visa and was married and recently graduated.
