Evacuation ordered for Lethbridge County

TORONTO – The County of Lethbridge has ordered an immediate evacuation of the Little Bow River Valley following extraordinary volumes of water spilling from the Highwood River.

An update from Alberta Emergency Alert says that the Highwood River has spilled into the Little Bow River and Travers Dam (also referred to as Little Bow Dam), with flow rates expected to exceed historical records by at least ten times or more.
