TORONTO – It wasn’t the first date one Florida man was expecting after local police found him bloodied and naked walking on the side of a road.

Flagler County detectives are investigating after Shaun Williams, 34, told officers he was beaten, robbed and stripped naked on what was to be a first date with a woman he met two weeks prior.

Williams claims the woman picked him up in Daytona Beach last Friday for a dinner date but two males were in the vehicle when she arrived.

The woman told the victim one of the men was her brother and they were to drop him at home before the dinner date.

Williams told police the woman drove around for several minutes before backing the vehicle down a small side road and into a farm field off West State Road 100 in the town of Bunnell.

Williams said he got out of the vehicle and was hit in the face with a hard, metal object, knocking him to the ground. One of the males demanded the victim surrender all of his cash and clothing.

When the victim asked if the man was serious, the suspect pulled out a handgun and Williams handed everything over to the man.

The woman and men fled the area in the vehicle.
