Tsuu T’ina Nation
The nation helped reinforce and protect the berm that protected Redwood Meadows, resulting in no property loss. The Nation remains under a state of emergency, and over 100 residents have been displaced.
They are hosting a benefit concert to raise money for flood victims, featuring acts such as Susan Aglukark and Michelle Thrush among others.

The following areas that were under a mandatory evacuation notice have been cleared for re-entry:
Three Point Creek and Ware Creek
North of the Sheep River, from Okotoks town limits to 144 Street West
Homes along the Elbow River, Fish Creek, Priddis Creek, Bow River
Homes along the south side of the Highwood River from High River town limits to Kananaskis
A fire ban is also in effect for the entire municipality.
All Foothills School Division schools along with Canmore and High River schools in the Christ the Redeemer School Division will be closed for the remainder of the school year, along with Canadian Rockies Schools and Our Lady of the Snows Catholic School.

Redwood Meadows

Officials reported a significant jump in river levels on Friday afternoon, and work crews were been ordered to leave the townsite immediately. RCMP are working to get people out of their homes, as a result of an emergency evacuation.
The river has not risen since the last update. Power remains on.
Reinforcement of the berm on Redwood Meadows Drive is holding and we have additional crews prepared to work through the evening. Currently there are over 10 dump trucks, 4 bulldozers and 3 track-hoes working on that one patch with over 50 loads of clay, rip rap, cement blocks and pitrun dumped there just since this morning.

Black Diamond residents forced from homes due to flooding
Some residents in Black Diamond have been asked to leave their homes and head for a reception centre, as the town is now under a critical alert for flooding.
Officials say there is an increasing amount of water traveling across land, leading to flooding. About 40 homes are affected, along with several businesses.
The flooding begins near the Foothills Lions Campground, where Highway 22 has been closed.
Residents west of 1st Street S.W. are being asked to evacuate to a reception centre located at the Oilfields Regional Arena.
“As people get evacuated for their homes, they’re told to come up here,” explains councillor Michel Jackson. “We provide them with blankets, towels, food and if the need arises that we need to break out cots…we’ll turn it into a hotel.”
Power outages are expected to follow. It’s not known when residents will be allowed back. Residents say it’s the worst flooding they’ve seen in years.

Stoney Band
There are very elevated water levels in the Bow River that will create dangerous situations that will lead to flooding. There is an evacuation in effect for residents of Eden Valley, Bighorn and Morley.

Turner Valley declares State of Emergency – Sour gas leak
Not only did residents have to contend with a sour gas leak, they also saw flooding in the area.

Cochrane – High water levels
There are elevated water levels in streams, rivers, and other bodies of water that may create dangerous situations or lead to flooding.
Residents in the area of Jumping Pound Creek and Bow Meadows should take all necessary precautions. There is no evacuation in effect at this time.
There is a high stream advisory in the Town of Cochrane, but no evacuation for Cochrane at this time. Neighboring communities are being evacuated to Cochrane and a reception centre has been set up at Frank Mills Hall at 405 1 Street East, next to the RCMP station.
Lethbridge power outage
The City of Lethbridge has officially declared a local state of emergency. Ensures resources available to ensure safety in river valley power.
Chain Lakes
Chain Lakes has declared a state of emergency. There has been major flooding in the area, prompting a number of road closures.
Crowsnest Pass bridges closed
There are elevated water levels in streams, rivers, and other bodies of water which have created dangerous situations and flooding.
Several homes are being evacuated in the vicinity of 133rd and 20 Avenue.
Road bridges on 19th, 20th, and 21st Avenue have been closed. Oldman River Dam flood gates have been opened to alleviate upstream water flows.
Coleman Sports Complex is being opened as a Reception Centre for affected residents.
Sandbags are available from Blairmore Fire Hall.
Sundre
The town of Sundre declared a local state of emergency on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. due to flooding along the Red Deer River. A mandatory evacuation on the town’s east side, and low-lying areas on the west side have been ordered.
