VICTORIA – Tarun Fizer scored his 16th goal of the season before assisting the eventual winner from Brandon Cutler at 10:35 of the third period as the Victoria Royals held on for a 5-4 victory over the Kamloops Blazers in Western Hockey League action on Saturday.

Kaid Oliver also recorded a goal and an assist for Victoria (28-18-5), who extend their point streak to four games.

Alex Bolshakov and Carson Miller supplied the rest of the Royals’ offence.

Caedan Bankier, Quinn Schmiemann, Max Martin and Orrin Centazzo replied for the Blazers (32-15-4), who are in the midst of a four-game skid.

Centazzo now has 35 goals this season, good for second in the WHL behind only Spokane’s Adam Beckman who leads the league with 39 goals.

Adam Evanoff turned aside 31-of-35 shots in victory.

Rayce Ramsay made 34 saves in defeat.

Victoria failed to score on four power-play opportunities, while Kamloops went 1 for 4 on the power play.

KELOWNA, B.C. — Seth Jarvis scored his team-leading 29th and 30th goals of the campaign, while Joel Hofer made 36 saves for his league-leading 28th win of the season as Portland (37-7-7) doubled up Kelowna (23-25-3). The Rockets have now lost five in a row.
