The Saskatoon Police Service tactical support unit and crisis negotiation team arrived at the house, located at 109 Stillwater Dr., at 5:40 a.m., an officer told Global News.

Police arrested four people shortly after 8 a.m. but remained in front of the house and restricted vehicles and pedestrians from accessing the street for approximately another five hours.

The officer said that police were waiting to ensure the house was empty and for a warrant allowing them to access the property. The warrant was received at around 12:20 p.m.

Officers, clad in body armour and equipped with large rifles, searched the house before leaving the area and reopening the street at 1 p.m.
