Winnipeg police investigating ‘suspicious death’ on Alexander Avenue Tuesday

Winnipeg police were seen outside of a home at 516 Alexander Ave. Tuesday.

Police say they were called to the home at 11:35 a.m. for a report of an “insecure premise.” At least two cruisers could be seen at the house, with police tape surrounding the front of the building.

One Global News reporter witnessed two people entering the home in the evening in what appeared to be white hazmat suites, with one also wearing what looked like a gas mask.

Police were still on scene Wednesday morning. They called the incident a “suspicious death.”

“Responding officers located a deceased adult male within the home. The circumstances surrounding the male’s death are suspicious and the Winnipeg Police Service Homicide Unit is now investigating. ”
