The BC Coroners Service said it believed the victim was a man in his 20s.

By Wednesday afternoon, traffic was flowing again along the Coquihalla Highway following two earlier incidents along the Larson Hill portion of the well-travelled route.

Motorists were advised during the shutdown to take alternate routes, including Highway 3.

However, a collision took place west of Christina Lake, resulting in a temporary shutdown.

That shutdown is cleared, but only to single-lane, alternating traffic.

Road crews are warning motorists on B.C. mountain passes to drive carefully due to freezing rain and slippery sections.

According to DriveBC, Highway 1 was also closed in both directions Wednesday morning in the Fraser Canyon due to a rockslide near Toll Road.

Crews were able to clear that slide before 10 a.m.
