TORONTO — Canadian supermodel Linda Evangelista has reportedly split from Hard Rock Cafe co-founder Peter Morton after seven years.
The St. Catharines, Ont. native started dating Morton in 2006 while she was pregnant with her son Augustin — whose father is Francois-Henri Pinault, now husband of actress Salma Hayek.
The New York Post cited sources who blame the split on the couple’s disagreements over whether to live in New York or California.
Evangelista is based in New York.
Rumours of a break-up were fueled by Evangelista’s solo appearance on the red carpet at the CFDA Fashion Awards on June 3.
The 48-year-old model was married to modeling industry executive Gerald Marie from 1987 to 1993 and had a six-year relationship with actor Kyle MacLachlan.
A rep for Evangelista told the Post: “We do not comment on the private life of our clients.”
