TORONTO – Country singer Chely Wright and her wife Lauren Blitzer welcomed identical twins Saturday.
Wright, 42, gave birth to the boys in New York City, according to People.

The couple named the twins George Samuel and Everett Joseph .
Wright and Blitzer, 31, were married in Connecticut in 2011.
In an interview earlier this year, Wright said she was ready for motherhood. “We feel lucky and ready to take on the challenges,” she said.
In 2010, Wright became the first mainstream country music star to come out as gay.
