Lodgepole residents were allowed back on Wednesday, and officials announced on Friday morning that Nordgegg residents were also able to return home.

However, a two-hour evacuation notice remains in effect, and residents are asked not to touch any fire equipment or hoses which remain.

A state of local emergency remains in effect for the town site, and areas around the hamlet and mine site are still closed.

Firefighters will continue to contain the wildfire and extinguish hot spots.
