PENTICTON, BC – The 201 Forest Service Road connecting Kelowna to Penticton has been washed out, shutting down the back road until further notice.
The washed out section is at the 56.5 km marker.

Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations crews are working to re-open the road.
The flooding has affected access to recreation sites north of the Greyback Forest Service Road.
Recreation sites south of the washout can only be accessed from Okanagan Falls or Penticton.
The 201 Forest Service Road is part of a 55,000 km network of gravel access roads in BC’s back country.
No estimate for re-opening has been provided from the Ministry.
