REGINA – The Saskatchewan NDP has asked the RCMP to look into how millions of taxpayer dollars were spent at a carbon capture research centre.
New Democrat Trent Wotherspoon says he met with Mounties on Wednesday to discuss the centre commonly known as IPAC-CO2 and located in Regina.

Wotherspoon says there are many questions about how $2.1 million was spent at the centre.
An internal memo said the greatest part of the money billed for IT services was – quote – “spent for no acceptable business reason.”
Wotherspoon says a forensic investigation by Myers Norris Penny never had access to files to see if anyone personally profited.
Premier Brad Wall says there’s nothing to take to the RCMP and Myers Norris Penny could have taken steps with authorities if they had concerns.
